Directors Cut

Reflection

We did alot of prep for the video and we had alot of ideas for shot angles and such that we ended up not using. Our group had fun while making the plans for our video we could laugh and have a good time but at the same time get down to buisness. The one thing we left out of the directers cut is the problem with sound that we had it was a realitivly easy fix just took some time to deal with.

Response to the Reflection

This post is from Michaela and Eddie
The positive comments that were most meaningful to us were from Michaela and Cole. (Two different posts, not a pair saying one thing). And Brad and Chris told us that they really liked the cafeteria establishing shot, and that was helpful because it made us feel good about the choice of using the cafeteria and it made it look realistic. In addition John and Jocelyn  told us that We should add more music when Michaela enters to make it seem like she’s the nice girl., and that helped us see that We need more music in our video at key points.
The two best suggestions we got were from Brad and Chris and Blanca and Michelle (again, two suggestions from different posts, a pair saying one thing).

Brad and Chris suggested that we cut a little off the clip of the new kid looking sad. We agree with this suggestion, and our plan to address it is to look for a place to cut it shorter.

Blanca and Michelle suggested that we have some Dialogue between Eddie and Michaela. We agree with this suggestion, and our plan to address it is too we might discuss re filming some parts if necessary. .

Good Values Rough Draft Project

Ashley and I Did Our Reflection Together

This video took a lot of planning, and re-planning. From the choosing of the script, to handeling the cafeteria scenes, we had our hands full. We knew from the beginning we needed a cafeteria shot, to establish that the setting was at school, but figuring it all out and actually doing it were a tad bit harder than we had expected. Once we got all of our needed shots, we realized that the sound on the first scene was morphed, and irritating due to the boom mic. Then when we got to the second scene, we didn't use the boom mic, and the device that went along with it was not turned on, so we had no sound. Lovely. It took a lot of bleeding ears to try and fix the sound in Adobe Soundbooth, and some of it still sounds a little off, but a great improvement nonetheless. The editing was mostly easy, just a few shots were questionable. It was a little difficult managing the camera operations, with only three people to our group, but we got it. The cafeteria scene was a little crazy to film, especially with everyone else needing to film their videos. Ultimately, we really enjoyed making this film, and would like to once again thank our class for helping this video get completed.
