Holidays around the world

]
Reflection- My partner and I, personally, was a great team. We had pretty much the same ideas and we worked well together. When coming up with the idea of multiple backgrounds it was in agreement. I think we did a great job of eliminating the green screen and making a clean edit. I also think compared to some videos that had music; ours was edited in a fashion so you could hear us rather than being drowned out by the selected music. One thing that I saw quit a bit was the split screen edit. I really liked that and I think that if Ashley and I was more a wear of that type of edit we could have incorporated it into our script and made the video more fun.  I specifically helped with the citing of the video and making the cuts to the video and placing them in order. We helped each other a lot I helped Ashley with the final edits and credit and Ashley helped with the green screen in adobe after effects and finding her own backgrounds and placing it all together with the green screen. If I could redo the project I would memorize my script and practice more so I wouldn’t have to look up as much and hopefully look more comfortable in front of the camera.

5 Things I learned Form Other Videos

I learned many things by watching fellow student’s videos. By watching Ivy’s groups video I learned the importance  of a group shot like the one taken of Allie and the two other girls as well as the one of kenzie and zoey and another girl. I learned from that how to fit everyone in and how to allow them to speak loud enough to hear them on the video. Another thing I learned from her video was the very short cuts of the video that transitioned into slides this allowed for the viewer to stay interested and understand the material.
The second video that I liked was Michelle’s and Dillon’s. The way they talked back and forth was very affective. Another thing that was good about the video was the lower third titles they were put in the perfect place and looked very nice. The ending and the music was very good and added to the video’s effectiveness.
The final video that I enjoyed was Ashley T’s the ending where it was a four split scene was amazing and how they all said the ending at the same time was very cool and I would like to learn how to do that .

Greenscreen Work Shop

The greenscreen is a sold color that many people dont wear you can use any color as long as the person in the shot isnt wearing that color. An important consideration for filming on the greenscreen is to not make any shadows if you have them it's very hard to get the shadow out and your edit wont be very good. A problem when trying to eliminate a green screen can be the edges of the person you are cutting out it's hard in Adobe premeire pro to get the edges perfect that is why you should use adobe after effects. It was harder to use adobe after effects but it looked better then adobe premiere pro's edit i would recomend adobe after effects.

Refelection on my cyberbullying video

This cyber bullying video was a big challenge for our group but I believe we overcame that challenge and made a successful video. Personally the part I’m very proud of in our video is the very beginning. We played around with many different kinds of openings and finally came to this one and I loved it. We completed our video late and so we were unable to get many comments back on out video but we did get a few editing hints like the one on schellhorns clip it was cut to shot. We didn’t make any changes on our final because we only had time to do a rough draft. If I we had more time I would have fine tuned it all made the clip cuts cleaner the music smoother those are the only things that come to mind right now. I realized how much work it takes with making a video the filming and getting the right angle and shot and then finding the perfect music and finally trying to put it all together to make a decent video. The project was a big challenge like I mentioned but it was a great learning experience and I feel that I have learned a lot about not only filming by editing.

This is an example of an regular title, which means it was created by scratch using the tools in the program . You might use this kind of title when you are starting the video as a beginner title.

This is an example of an Lower third  title, which means I created it from scratch but it is over another clip and in the lower third part of the video You might use this kind of title when  you want to put information into the video with out leaving the actual clip.

This is an example of an A templet title, which means its pre-made title in the premier pro program. You might use this kind of title when nameing someone or giving credit to someone.

A simple cut in the timeline means that you are putting a cut in the video to insert a diffrent clip. When you cut, the other clips in the timeline you leave a space .
A ripple edit is whendelets the gap in an edit. You do this by right clicking and selecting ripple edit. When you ripple delete, the other clips to the right of the deleted clip move over.
Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut clips at one time. To do this, you set the end and in points and then cut in the time line panel and  you click either lift or extracting button depending on the edit you want.Lifting is like pulling a clip stright out, while extracting is like deleting and shifting the clips over, in terms of what happens to the other clips in the timeline.
This is an example of an extracting edit.  I decided to extract the two clips where I did because i felt that it gave less time of the hourse walking around and more action to the viewer of seeing the jumps.

Overlay and Insert

ForBoth f4v's:
This is an example of an overlay edit. An overlay edit places a clip over two other clips. To do this, you need to edit the clip you are placeing in and put if over a clip that you want to separate, then cut the second half of the first clip to match up on the time line. I decided to put the 2nd clip where i did because it was in a part where the rider wasnt doing any jumps and i could mix up the video by adding the on lookers reaction to the first jump.

At the end of the 2nd f4v:
The diffrence betweeen a overlay and an insert edit is an overlay is when you just put the clip over another clip and an insert is when you break up a clip and put the inserted clip in.

You would use an overlay when you want a certain effect and go by the time line, while you'd use an insert edit when you want a break in the clip. In this case the overlay is better because the break goes with the time line better when it goes over to the audience.

Baler Interviews

Reflections
I think the way we start out our video is very unique how we start with the clip then go in to our title. Our title is good becuase it shows the content of our video. The problem with our video is the format our clips are very small instead of filling up the screen. I wish we could have added transitions and effects such as fade in or out instead of coming in right away. What I like about the video is how we have one persons like about the school and then finished by another example the sports clips. I think we picked out very good clips and besides the format I believe our video is good. On my next project I would like to learn how to import music to make the video better quality. The effort of the video making process I believe was equally divided Ashley and I talked and went over the pros and cons of the clips before we put them in and discussed the set in point and set out point.

SBHS intro

Reflection 8/25/11
Today I learned how to upload a video to youtube successfully. I also had time left over to do the enrichment project which taught me how to add effects into my videos. Today's class was fun and a good learning experience.
